Electric Department is in the process of
building the footprint for an EMD 2500 KW
Generator that will be added to our existing
Five (5) Generators.

Fiber
Optic
|
A City wide
Fiber Optic Network will be installed to
connect all the Utility Plants and their
satellites together. There will be three (3)
phases to the project. |
Currently in
the construction phase
Construction
of the fiber backbone is expected to begin
the summer of 2005. |
Water
Treatment Plant |
The project is
to construct a new Water Treatment Plant (WTP)
to replace the existing 1937 vintage water
treatment plant. The site will utilize 25
acres of City owned land and will contain
two (2) reservoir's that total approximately
16.8 acres in size, a 160' x 105' building
of multi levels that will house the water
treatment plant, two (2) 100' x 200' process
wastewater basins, and a 17' diameter by 19'
high above ground water storage tank. |
